As you browse through these photos, notice that regardless of the timber frame, the interior and exterior home designs range from traditional to modern, from cabin plans and cottage house plans to ranches, capes, and mountain homes. Timber framing is a unique load-bearing skeleton that offers great flexibility in the placement of support posts. Whatever the style, each of these timber frame plans features an open floor plan - something not always possible with post and beam.
