Last year we worked with Southern Vermont builder Northland Builders on this beautiful new Stratton timber frame ski house located in the heart of Stratton, Vermont. The home is a hybrid home featuring conventional “stick frame” construction and timber frame construction. The homeowners chose to use timber framing in the central core of the home. These trusses are not our typical style truss, the homeowner requested that they feature an arch and the trusses feature steel accents to give the timber frame a more modernized look. We typically apply a clear tongue oil to our frames, but the client chose to add a nice gray stain which looks stunning with the black painted steel accents.

The interior design of the home was done by Amy Thebeault Design. Amy’s decorating style compliments the timber frame beautifully. The home is incredibly inviting and is the perfect place to go on the weekends to enjoy the slopes!
